Friday Night at the Movie is here again and opening night is Friday, April 27th. There will be a double bill featuring a great documentary and a movie presentation based on an extraordinary true story.
The 50 minute documentary - A Bite of China - starts at 7 P.M. and if you like food, then you will find this episode a sheer joy to watch. You will see how good the Chinese people are at making use of the local resources available. They take advantage of every inch of the ground they stand on.
The movie Victoria and Abdul begins at 8:30 P.M. It is based on a true story of an unexpected friendship that happens in the later years of Queen Victoria's remarkable rule. When Abdul Karim, a young clerk travels from India to participate in the Queen's Golden Jubilee, he is surprised to find favour with the Queen herself and the outcome is an unlikely and devoted alliance.
Admission is $6 for adults, and children under 16 attend free. Unfortunately no supper will be served as Howard will be away, but you will get dessert.
